Don't miss the official strike preparedness and strike assessment kickoff!
Posted Nov 12, 2021
We are getting ready. Now is the time to step up!
If you are ready to fight for yourself, our patients, and our community, come to our local unit meeting to hear about our next steps. It will take all of us to show management that we are serious about stepping up for our patients. This local meeting will launch our official strike preparations.
Come hear the key issues at stake during negotiations, have your strike questions answered and get prepared for what’s next. We will have four sessions where members of the bargaining team, WSNA leadership, and organizers will go through what a potential strike plan looks like.
These local unit meetings are on Nov. 16 from 7:30-9 a.m., 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., 4:30-6 p.m., and 7:30-9 p.m. at IBEW Local 76.
Reminder: Assessment organizer training is on November 15!
Calling all unit reps, activists, and leaders! It’s time to put the nurses into critical action once and for all. WSNA organizers will be holding Assessment Organizer training to begin strike assessments. The fight for a fair contract will require organizing a credible strike threat against Saint Joe’s Medical Center. Assessment Organizers will have the crucial job of talking to nurses and assessing their readiness to strike if necessary to get the contract patients need and nurses deserve. If you have feel you can serve in this role, please attend one of the trainings listed below. We need all hands-on deck!
Sessions are from 7:30-9 a.m., 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., 4:30-6 p.m., and 7:30-9 p.m. at the Tacoma Firefighters Hall.
