We have a Tentative Agreement!

The best word to summarize these last 11 sessions of contract negotiations is INTENSE. It was a long, hard slog for the dedicated negotiations team, but we have made it to the light at the end of the tunnel in the wee hours of the morning (this is being written at 3am after over 18 hours at the table).

Management tried to take our EIB, remove our ability to bargain over protected leave, eliminate all double time, take away percentage-based shift differential, force Per Diems into only requesting open shifts and taking away Per Diem OT, amongst many other things.

We fought back and kept all of these and made some significant gains.

We were able to add protections for Hospice nurses, increase float pay for everyone, increased protections around WPV, and so much more. A summary of changes will come out next week, and please join us at our Monday evening virtual sip 'n chat from 4:30pm to 5:30pm to hear more.
