Bargaining sessions 7 and 8

We have had two long and productive days at the bargaining table this week. We presented cost-of-living and economic data as well as wage comparisons that we used to come up with our wage proposal (come to the sip-n-chat on Monday to see the presentation we gave!). Management dismissed our arguments, and they continue to assert that Moda insurance is sufficient and that any problems that you are experiencing are uncommon and actively being resolved. We were able to reach a tentative agreement on a handful of items but there's still a lot on the table to work on.

We had a huge turnout of observers, but we're not done yet. We need to see each and every one of you at negotiations. Our strength comes from solidarity, and showing up is the strongest show of force.

We have three more scheduled days of bargaining next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (March 12-14). Wednesday will be in HEC but please note that Thursday and Friday will take place at the Four Points Sheraton. There will be no opportunity to schedule more between Friday, March 14th, and the expiration of our contract on March 31. We want to hear your absolute top priorities, so please respond to the survey you were sent via text on Wednesday (or click here to take it).

Come to our Sip-n-Chat next Monday from 4:30-5:30pm to hear more details about what we discussed and our next steps.

Your Team,
Laura Bayes, Robin Cully, Jenn Engelhart, Rhonda Tull, Tracy Pullar, Amber Pouley, Jen Hampton, Kristin Malmo, Errin Hull, and Kelly Carroll
