Sign-on bonus overpayment

We’re aware that management incorrectly paid sign-on bonuses early to some nurses, or overpaid the bonuses, and then demanded that nurses sign a form agreeing to pay back some of the monies – without notifying the Union first. Especially given the history of overpayments and demands for repayments here, WSNA is actively investigating and getting information regarding how a pay-back would impact contributions to retirement and social security, as well as  potential implications for your 2024 and/or 2025 taxes.

We’ve demanded that the employer rescind the arbitrarily imposed 30-day repayment window. We will share updates as soon as we receive more information.

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact your nurse representative at JRichardson@WSNA.org.

Negotiations start tomorrow!

Your bargaining team goes to the negotiating table tomorrow 1/15/25. Remember to show your support by wearing your WSNA shirts, and stickering up with “I support my bargaining team” stickers. Send photos of yourself and fellow nurses proudly rocking your WSNA gear to an officer or your nurse representative!

In Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Team
