It's time to bargain
Posted Jan 10, 2025
Your St. Clare Bargaining Team is fired up and ready to fight for the contract you deserve! Yesterday, we wrapped up our final prep session before negotiations officially kick off on January 15, 2025. Together, we’re pushing for critical improvements in workplace conditions, staffing, safety, and correcting long-standing injustices.
We’ve locked in the following bargaining dates: 1/15, 1/17, 1/27, and 1/30. With the contract expiring on 1/31/25, we’re committed to making every day count.
Our union siblings at St. Joe’s and Virginia Mason set the stage by winning major victories including: implementing weapons detectors in the ED, securing some of the region’s top wages—especially for senior nurses—and ending the shameful practice of shortchanging internationally experienced nurses.
Now, it’s our turn to build on that progress at St. Clare! But we can’t do it alone. Show your solidarity next week by wearing “I Support My Bargaining Team” stickers at work. Stay tuned for more details.
Don’t forget to wear your WSNA t-shirts on bargaining days and Fridays! Snap photos of your team sporting their union gear and send them to JRichardson@WSNA.org.
Come observe negotiations in person!
This bargaining cycle, we’re opening the doors for observers! This is your chance to see firsthand how your contract is fought for and won. Starting 1/17/25, we’re welcoming bargaining unit nurses to the table to witness the process in action (location TBD).
Interested in observing? Reach out to your nurse rep, Jared Richardson, at JRichardson@WSNA.org, and make sure to check out the observer guidelines.
Together, we’re stronger. Let’s win this fight
