Unions win order against MultiCare payroll deductions

The alleged overpayments related to an extended outage of the employer’s timekeeping system.

On November 2, MultiCare filed an appeal on the judgement with the King County Superior Court. Under federal labor law, MultiCare must bargain with the unions to ensure a fair procedure for any repayments.
MultiCare acknowledges the demand to bargain with the unions. Please continue to watch for updates on this issue.
The end of Washington’s State of Emergency
The Governor’s Proclamation was lifted October 31, 2022. You may still use EIT with no waiting period for absences due to COVID. COVID continues to be a federally declared pandemic. Presumptive eligibility will also continue. Nurses who contract COVID are presumed to have acquired it on the job which makes you eligible for workers compensation.
