We have a tentative agreement on a new contract!
Posted Jul 8, 2020
Your Negotiation Team has worked extremely hard toward a fair contract. After more than 16 hours at the negotiation table on Tuesday, we can announce that we have reached a tentative agreement on a contract that your Negotiation Team is recommending!
Your contract Negotiation Team is working on securing a date and location for a ratification vote. Details will be announced as soon as a decision is made!
The Tentative Contract Highlights include: A 10.5 % wage increase over the life of the contract (3.5% retroactive to April 2020, 3.5% in April 2021 & 3.5% in April 2022); the second shift premium increases to $2.75/hr; the third shift premium increases to $4.50/hr; new $1.00/hr BSN, MN, MSN or PhD premium; education funds increased to $550 per nurse annually, expanded use for bereavement time; improved workplace violence protection language; greater transparency in the low census process. Per Diems now have education dollars and education time. We fought off the employer proposal to give travelers priority over almost all other employees in the LC rotation. We fought off the employer's proposal to expand where and when a nurse can float; and much more!
Thank you for all your support!
We could not have done this hard work without you.
