This is a great time to update the union unit representative list and provide training. We like to have representation from all our units to be union resources for your co-workers. The unit rep certainly isn’t expected to know everything about the contract but can show coworkers where to find the contract; how to submit an ADO; how to put them in touch with a union officer or WSNA nurse representative; and help them to know their rights. With our contract expiring April 1, 2023, we will need unit reps to help keep the union bulletin boards updated, promote the upcoming pre-negotiations survey and help communicate the latest information regarding bargaining. We will also need your ideas for Nurses Week May 2023.

Whether you’ve had unit rep training or not, we’d love for you to join us at one of our Unit Rep Trainings coming up this September. Your meal will be paid for by local unit funds.

• Tuesday September 27 from 8 - 09:30 a.m. at the Puyallup Dennys on South Hill. 626 S. Hill Park Drive.

In addition, we will have training for nursing members of the Staffing Committee. If you are on the staffing committee, you are welcome to also take part in the unit rep training. Staffing Training will be:
