Negotiations Update #1 – A Great First Date – Fired Up and Ready to Go

We met with Management for the first time on Wednesday, April 9 as a joint session with UWMC Northwest and Montlake. We are still considering opening proposals to make, have not yet made any of our economic proposals (for raises, premiums, differentials, etc.) and collaboratively outlined priorities for upcoming sessions. A great first step, we are looking forward to more hard work at the bargaining table setting out a powerful contract supporting our nurses and patients!
Our Top Priorities Identified by Our Members:
- Securing compensation that enable us to live and thrive in our community.
- Fighting for stronger language on workplace violence & re-imagining the WPV committee.
- Eliminating the break buddy system, ensuring each of us can take our meal and rest breaks on every unit, every shift.
