Change for nurses at UWMC Montlake

Attention WSNA Registered Nurses at UWMC Montlake

As part of recent bargaining with UWMC and NW Administration, WSNA worked to ensure working conditions and benefits for RNs from both hospitals are maintained. The employer recognized needed changes related to the integration of the two hospitals and our team of WSNA RNs went to work and were able to capture a unique and fantastic benefit for the RNs at both UW Northwest and UWMC Montlake.
That single change for UWMC Montlake is a benefit in the form of a modified and accelerated vacation accrual table. More vacation, sooner!

The tables below show the current vacation benefit, the benefit as of January 1, 2020 and the newly negotiated table that is set to start July 1, 2021. These tables do not include 10 holidays and 1 personal day.

We are very proud to have achieved this for the UWMC Montlake RNs as part of that separate bargaining.
Due to the unique and solely beneficial nature of this tremendous benefit gain, it does not have to be voted on by the membership to be approved.

This benefit will start as of July 1, 2021.
