The Dog Days of Summer are upon us, but contract negotiation prep is just starting to heat up!
Posted Aug 9, 2024
We are gathering information about what each of you want to see for the future of nurses at St. Joseph Medical Center in anticipation of negotiations starting early next year. Your officers and rep have been reviewing grievances, staff concerns, ADOs and any items that have been brought to our attention over the past three years for potential changes we will fight for at the bargaining table. Over the next few months we will introduce you to the members of the bargaining team. Keep an eye out for our upcoming survey, which will arrive via email and/or text in September.
Negotiation Kickoff Party: Save the Date!
Join us from 5:30 to 8:30 pm on September 19 at Trackside Beer Garden at The Portal Waterfront Container Village for a family- and dog-friendly kickoff party! We will be providing snacks, swag and WSNA t-shirts for members that have not yet received one. If you are holding out for a small and medium size shirt, we will have them available! More details will be sent out closer to the event.
NOC Cafeteria Time: August 20 5 to 8 pm
Calling all swing-shifters and night shifters! We will have a NOC-edition of our WSNA Cafeteria Time drop-in hours on Tuesday, August 20 from 1700 - 2000. All are welcome to come by and grab some swag, candy and enter to win a gift card to Fred Meyer! We will have WSNA t-shirts on hand for members who have not yet received them. Standby for updates on whether we will have our order of small and medium size t-shirts by then. Chat with your officers and union rep about your concerns and contract questions and find out how to get more involved with the negotiation campaign!
