Happy Nurses Week! We have your WSNA T-Shirt

Your amazing local unit officers will be handing out St. Joe's WSNA T-Shirts as a gift for Nurses Week. Show off your union pride sporting the fabulous new colorful logo! Your contract negotiations are coming up at the beginning of next year so make sure you have your shirt so you can wear your blues on negotiation days to support your bargaining team!

We have enough shirts for every single member of the bargaining unit but a finite number of each size, so the earlier you are able to come by, the more likely we will have your perfect fit. You may send someone to come pick up your shirt if you will not be able to make it to either of the sessions. If you miss out on a shirt this week for whatever reason, you will have more opportunities over the next few months to pick one up. Keep an eye on the newsletters for updates!

• Tuesday May 7 from 11:30 am to 8 pm in the Paccar M Room (across from the entrance to the Emergency Department)
• Wednesday May 8 in the afternoon/evening with location to be determined.

WSNA Leadership Conference: Congrats to Kristin Malmo, the Local Unit Star Award Recipient!

One of your local unit officers was honored at the WSNA Leadership Conference this last weekend in Lake Chelan. At this biannual conference, union leaders from 32 local units converged to celebrate victories, hear from labor leaders, and learn how to strengthen nursing's voice. Kristin was recognized for her strong advocacy for her fellow nurses and her excellent communication skills moderating the local unit's Facebook group. Congratulations to Kristin for her well-deserved award!
