Negotiations update

Informational meetings coming July 11
We met with management for session number ten on July 2, 2019.
Management provided us with a counter proposal that included some economics. We were also able to engage in some active discussion regarding some of their other proposals to understand their position on the large number of take-aways they have brought forward. Unfortunately, they continue to push on issues such as elimination of EIB and increased per diem requirements.
Because of this, we are having three informational meetings on July 11. Please plan on attending one of these sessions to learn more about management’s proposed take-a-ways and hear directly from the bargaining team and attorney about how these affect our working conditions. We will also be discussing ways to unite the nurses and show a unified approach as next steps.
Local Unit Meetings will be held July 11 at 11 a.m. in CR 6 or at 3:45 p.m. in CR 5 or again at 7:45 p.m. in CR 5. Please see meeting notices below for more information on this.
Additionally, we are planning on negotiations with management again on July 18, with this day largely reserved for the hospice department. Another negotiation session is scheduled for July 19. Both will be at the HEC beginning at 8 a.m. and all are welcome. Please check at the front of the HEC for assigned room numbers.
Now is the time to stand firm and resolute to show management we deserve a fair contract! We hope to see you at one of these local unit meetings!
