Negotiation update March 14

Sending a quick update from the table: We met for our fifth session on March 14. Management gave us their economic counterproposal. These contain substandard wage increases. Management says that they are competitive in the market, but they don't take into account that they are the only acute care hospital in the region that doesn't pay a weekend differential. Weekend differential averages $4.25 in the area. If you factor that in, St. Joe's pays its nurses less.
We will meet again tomorrow, March 15.
