We reached a tentative agreement with Skyline for a new, three-year contract. Your bargaining team recommends a YES vote!
You must be a WSNA member in good standing to vote on your contract. If you are not a member, we made it easy to join!
The following is a brief summary, with more details in this document. Copies of the redlined contract for review will be available at our ratification voting on September 23, 2024.
- A 18% wage increase over the life of a three-year contract: 10% effective July 1, 2024, 4% effective July 1, 2025, and 4% effective July 1, 2026
- A three-year contract, effective July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027
- Premium increases, including:
- An increase in the weekend premium from $1/hour to $3/hour
- A new night shift differential of $7/hour for nurses who work a majority of their hours between 7 pm and 7 am. For nurses employed on the ratification date, the current evening and night shift differential will continue to be paid.
- Increase bereavement leave to 32 hours (from 24 hours)
- Nurses who only use sick leave for not more than one event per quarter will be allowed to convert up to 24 hours of sick time to vacation time
- Nurses who have 144 or more hours in their sick leave bank will be able to convert up to 40 of those hours into vacation
- Updates to the Staffing Committee language based on the relatively new Hospital Staffing Committee law and to continue nurse voices in staffing
- See the TA summary (also linked above) for more details
