Negotiation update session #1

We had our FIRST negotiations session with management today via Zoom. We were able to present a complete proposal to management today and based on the results of the survey and feedback from all of you our proposal included:

  • Increase in wages and other economic premiums.
  • Protection of employee benefits and working conditions.
  • Changes to make reporting of missed breaks easier.
  • Language to improve impact of the staffing committee and to ensure RNs have a meaningful voice on that committee.
  • Introduction of workplace violence language.

The first day is always a little lengthy as we present our position to management. We anticipate that the next session – April 19, 2021 - will allow for more robust dialogue and discussion as we delve into the details.
