Have you heard the buzz about vacation scheduling?
Posted Sep 16, 2024
Part of the negotiations process included a revamp of the way vacation scheduling is handled, especially for premium request times. The new process is designed to recognize seniority but provides an equitable, fair opportunity for everyone to have well deserved time off.
The announcements should have come from both WSNA and your management along with an attached FAQ sheet with details and answers to questions you may have. That did not happen as WSNA just learned that the FAQ are already posted on Skagit’s intranet. However, it is apparent that the word has not reached everyone. PLEASE SHARE THE WORD! The time to request next year’s key vacations is NOW.
Here is the QR code link to the FAQ. Please share this with everyone. We want you all to get your requests in and be able to have your vacations.
*NB* PLEASE NOTE! This is for your big peak time vacation plans. The rules are the same as for vacations for 2024. All approved vacations will still be honored. This is for 2025 vacations. In addition, this is not for the vacations requests that pop up during the year – that practice is not changed you may still request, and you will receive a timely answer. If there are lapses in responses, please let an officer know or your nurse rep know so we can correct this.
In solidarity,
Liz Rainaud, Chair
Rachel Yates, Treasurer
Kim McCann, Membership Officer
Abu Cameron, Grievance Officer
