It’s time to vote on our contract
Posted Jan 8, 2021
On Dec. 15, 2020, we reached an overall Tentative Agreement on our successor two-year agreement with the County. Now it is time to vote on that TA. Due to the pandemic, we will vote via U.S. mail rather than our usual in-person vote. Look in the mail for a packet of information, including a summary of contract changes. For those of you who are WSNA members in good standing, you will receive your voting materials in that packet.
If you are not a WSNA member in good standing, you will receive an application to join WSNA. We want you to join WSNA and vote on this contract. We want to be sure your voice is heard and your vote on this contract ratification is counted. Join today https://www.wsna.org/membership/application. To have your application processed in time to vote, we recommend that you scan and email your completed application to our WSNA Nurse Representative Michelle Moore, mmoore@wsna.org.
For your convenience, we have scheduled three education sessions about the contract changes, Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 1200 and 1930 and Thursday, Jan. 13 at 1600. These education sessions are in lieu of in-person meetings and will allow you to ask questions of the WSNA bargaining team, including our attorney. Our WSNA Nurse Rep will send you a Zoom meeting invite to these three education sessions at this email address.
Ballots must be received by January 28, 2021 at 3 p.m. to be counted. We recommend ballots be postmarked no later than January 25.
In solidarity, your WSNA contract bargaining team.
Paul Kunkel, Chair; Carolyn Clark, Grievance Officer; Tami Nesler, Grievance Officer; and Yolanda Morris, Treasurer
