Urgent update regarding COVID Paid Administrative Leave MOU

You received notice from Becca Cole, Interim Deputy Division Director, that WSNA has yet to sign the extension to COVID paid administrative leave. Please know that we have been pushing the county to finalize the agreement. We submitted an information request and were promptly told that it would take at least two weeks to fulfill it; we received it in the late afternoon on January 6th. It was simply a spreadsheet that showed how many hours our members still had in the COVID leave bank. The county wanted to incorporate language that would give them broad discretion to assign nurses to different classifications and job functions than what you were hired into. WSNA called the county out regarding this move. Rather than tailor this agreement to our Nurses, the county wanted to use boilerplate language that was agreed to by other unions. This language would apply to other unions, but not to the nurses.
