Once again, management has put out a misleading “WSNA update” about our Aug. 28 bargaining session implying that it came from WSNA or was a joint communication with WSNA.

Don’t be fooled. It was not.

Here are the facts.

As we stated in our previous communication, we made progress on a couple of issues and got management to withdraw their absurd proposal to force nurses to come to work even when they are not on call. While we have made this progress, management should have not even come to the table with such a proposal, much less spend so many months insisting we agree to it.

We have much more work to do and are ready for the challenge. WSNA is bargaining in good faith and have stated our priorities on protecting our current benefits (EIB, PTO, stability in health benefits) as well safety for our patients and our nurses. We continue to push forward our strike assessment, which is in full swing!
