Bargaining Update  - We have a Tentative Agreement

We met with management for our fifth bargaining session. We came to agreement on the latest outstanding issues: low census, wages, premiums, shift differentials, meal waivers, and management's new proposal to contract international nurses.

  • Wage Increases per year: 9% - 6% - 5%. That's 20% over 3 years.
  • Evening Shift Differential increased to  $3.00/hour
  • Night Shift Differential increased to $5.00/hour
  • Weekend Differential increased to $3.50/hour
  • Preceptor Pay increased to $2.00/hour. Traveler training premium is $2.00/hour.
  • New Call Out Coverage Language: Receive $125 for taking last minute open shifts (In addition to 1.5X).
  • Low Census - Each traveler to be LC'ed twice before permanent nurses are LC'ed.
  • New Language: Nurses may donate PTO to the bargaining team members (to cover their unpaid hours spent negotiating the new contract)
  • Expanded Anti-Discrimination Protections
  • Won new "reversion rights" to preserve seniority for Nurses who want to return to nursing after taking other jobs/roles at Arbor Health

We're really proud of what we achieved at the table, and we're excited to share more details soon.

Please watch your email inbox for more information on our upcoming contract ratification vote!

If you know a nurse who is not yet a member of the Union, NOW is the time to make sure they get signed-up. Only full dues-paying Union members have the right to vote on the contract, and it's important for EVERYONE to participate.

In unity,
Your bargaining team,
Ashley, Carey and Sara
