Our Union’s Nurses Voted YES!

We held our first ever electronic vote for our local unit from March 12, 2025, through March 13, 2025. Our nurses voted on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), regarding our supplemental availability grievance filed last March. Over 97% of the votes registered YES to pass this MOU. This MOU is ratified and now in effect. A copy of this will be uploaded to our local unit homepage here.

As a condition of this settlement, the MOU requires management within 30 days of ratification, to issue every supplemental nurse a copy of the agreed upon form to capture their current availability category. This will ensure each nurse has this form on file and is getting paid accordingly. This new form is not an opportunity to change your designation. Nurses currently working as supplemental will be held to the language in Article 13.4.1 on how to change their current designation. Thank you for casting your ballot and supporting this win for our nurses.

Let’s Volunteer (again)!

Our nurses will be supporting the Heroes Homestead 5k at Riverfront Park on Sunday, April 27. Time commitment is roughly 4 hours from 9:30a-1p. We are looking for nurses who can provide basic first aid in the medical tent (supplies provided) and help with registration. Our union has also purchased 20 registration spots for our nurses to wear WSNA blue and walk or run this event together. Sign up today and let us know how you can help!
