Bargaining update session 4

This week, WSNA made great progress by clarifying important contract language and defining key terms like “probationary nurse”, to strengthen protections and eliminate ambiguities for our members. These refinements are all part of our commitment to securing clear, strong contract terms!

We also spoke with the employer about the new time clocks and gathered more information about this change. We will be pursuing a letter of agreement with the Hospital to ensure that existing practices are maintained, and staff are able to understand the process and expectations around timekeeping moving forward. We want to make this a smooth and easy transition for nurses.

Looking ahead, the hospital’s financial presentation is set for this Friday at 10 am and it’s a perfect chance for us to get insights into the budget and financial priorities. Bargaining unit members are welcome, so bring along anyone interested in understanding the hospital’s financial outlook. Immediately following this presentation, at around 10:30, the hospital will be making its opening economic proposal. Bargaining unit members are also encouraged to attend to hear the proposal for themselves. Let’s show up in full force, stay informed, and continue pushing for the best for our WSNA members!

If you would like to discuss our latest bargaining session or any concerns, please join your local unit officers and nurse representative Stephenie Troftgruben on Thursday, November 21, at 1930 on Teams!
