Turn Good Sam WSNA Blue

We need your team spirit NOW, more than ever. Management has tried to quench our fire and that’s NOT going to happen.

If you have NOT been told by management to stop wearing the T-shirts or face discipline, then you should absolutely be wearing them.

The WSNA shirts show pride and unity as we stand together to get a fair contract. We want ratios for Safe Staffing and break nurses for real rest and meal breaks. We want reasonable expectations for our per diem nurses. We want our bargaining unit charge nurses performing charge nurse duties, not management. We’re fighting for float pay when working outside your clinical grouping.

We’re fighting for a premium when your unit is staffed below matrix. More updates to come as we head into session #3 on February 23.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Turn Good Sam WSNA Blue by wearing your WSNA T-shirts on bargaining days and Blue Fridays.
  • Wear your “I Support my Bargaining Team” stickers on bargaining days and Blue Fridays.
  • Wear your “Break For Safety” buttons and WSNA buttons DAILY.
  • Send your pics to our Facebook group: WSNA Good Sam – Union Discussion or tag us on Instagram @gshnurses.
  • Remind your co-workers how important it is to support our union.
  • File ADOs every day you miss your meal and rest breaks and also indicate so in Kronos.

Next bargaining session is Thursday, February 23. Next Blue Friday is Friday, February 24.

WSNA “Sip and Chat” continues Thursdays 8-9 p.m.

Join your WSNA Nurse Representative and local unit leaders so we can hear your questions and concerns.

Topics can be anything from staffing, to contract negotiations, to whatever is on your mind.

Meetings are virtual on Teams. Contact one of your bargaining team members or WSNA nurse representative for link.

Be an observer

Do you want to come to negotiations as an observer? Let a Bargaining Team member know or text organizer Grace at 206-553-9794. If you’re interested, we’ll be in touch to go over some guidelines. This is a great way to keep negotiations transparent and let MultiCare know that we’re paying attention!
