The contractual 3.5% pay increase is effective the first full pay period of April 2025. That pay period began on April 6 and will show on the April 25 paycheck.

Wage Scale Good Sam Workday July 2023

The fight continues to get our full break nurse hours back

Thanks to the many nurses who wrote a postcard to MultCare President and CEO Bill Robertson. We mailed 10 postcards in an envelope with a letter attached each day x 10 days.

Bill wrote us a response acknowledging that he understands the issue; that he understands that the Meal and Rest Break plan was not properly managed and should have been brought back to the Staffing Committee for review. He says he has asked that the contract be properly followed, and steps taken to ensure compliance with the language therein.

You are welcome to read the rest of the letter on our Good Sam RN Facebook group.

We still need more break nurse hours to adequately cover our meal and rest breaks. We also have concerns about CANMs taking break shifts that bargaining unit nurses, especially our per diem nurses, could be filling. If you have concerns about CANMs providing break relief, please share your thoughts and experiences with us. A group grievance has been filed.

The Break MOU grievance is still in queue for Arbitration.

Reminder: Blue Fridays - Wear your WSNA T-Shirts

Continue showing your Union Spirit by wearing your WSNA Blue T-Shirts on Blue Fridays. If you do not work on Fridays, then wear them on a different day. Take a photo and post on our Facebook group. Have a co-worker invite you to the Facebook Group if you are not yet a member.  If you need a shirt, contact Ilia Mondoy at mondoyit@gmail.com.

Meal Waivers

WSNA has concerns about the Meal Waivers and have requested to meet with management to bargain the changes in working conditions. Management does not agree that this is a mandatory subject of bargaining. WSNA strongly disagrees and believe we should bargain the effects of this change. We (WSNA Good Sam, TG & Mary Bridge NICU) met with management on April 7th.  We still have issues to iron out and will have more information for you as this issue progresses. Please continue to let us know what concerns you have about the meal waiver.
