Unity is always something to smile about, especially in these times

The Day of Action on Sept. 14 began when Evergreen nurses stickered up in unity with their union coworkers from WSNA, UFCW 21 and SEIU 1199NW for safe staffing and incentives to retain healthcare staff of all job classes. It continued around the clock. So many nurses stickered up with their peers and sent in fabulous pictures. Thank you! The ability to pull together for the common good is clear. Below are just a few of the many wonderful images.

Next, our WSNA EHCS staffing committee had a boost in RN turnout to bring their voice as Home Health and Home Hospice RNs into staffing. Way to go! Let’s get even more participation next month.

In the afternoon, several Evergreen RNs continued in coalition on a virtual meeting with Rep Goodman, to bring the experiences of the staff and the community right to the legislator.

Private Facebook Group for WSNA members at Evergreen

We have created a private local unit Facebook group for Evergreen nurses who are WSNA members, only. This will be a space to get updates on the contract bargaining, see videos of your elected officers and the team, ask questions, post union strong photos, and share stories.
