The Washington State Nurses Association encourages you to participate in the Nurses4All survey, which is part of the Nurses4All study conducted by nursing experts at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research. Nurses4All is the most extensive and long-standing scientific study focused on nurses and their working conditions in all types of employment settings (e.g., hospitals, primary care, telehealth, schools, etc.). The study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, has produced compelling evidence emphasizing the importance of adequate staffing and favorable work environments for nurses.
Your participation in the Nurses4All survey will provide real-time, actionable evidence to our policy makers on pressing issues—nurse staffing, the work environment, workplace violence, nurse wellbeing and retention, as well as patient safety and quality of care. The quality of this evidence depends on your participation in the Nurses4All survey!
How to Participate in Nurses4All
Licensed nurses in WA are already receiving email invitations to complete the survey.
- Check your email inbox (and spam folder). The survey invitation email is delivered by nurses4all@ncsbn.org.
- If you still cannot locate your survey invitation email, please reach out to the research team at nurses4all@nursing.upenn.edu.
- The survey can be taken on any device including mobile phone.
Encourage your nursing colleagues to participate. Ask your nurse colleagues to check their emails for a survey invitation! All nurses can participate regardless of employment status (e.g., working as a nurse, working in another field, retired or between jobs, etc.), role (e.g., RNs, LPNs, APRNs), and employment setting (e.g., hospital, nursing home, school nurse, home care, telehealth, research, management).
Nurses4All is an independent NIH-funded research study conducted by nurse researchers at Penn. Participation is completely voluntary, and your responses are strictly confidential, secured, and protected under a Certificate of Confidentiality from the National Institutes of Health. The WSNA is not affiliated with Nurses4All; however, we believe it will yield valuable results—it is important for all WA nurses to participate.
For more information on the Nurses4All survey, please visit the Nurses4All website and direct questions or concerns to 866-NRS-4ALL (866-677-4255) or nurses4all@nursing.upenn.edu.
The more nurses participate, the greater the impact will be.
