Rally Jan. 15 to Save Healthcare. Protect Our Patients!

Today, nearly 800,000 people in Washington rely on the Affordable Care Act to get health coverage – and health care. Talk in Congress of repealing the ACA without a viable replacement threatens hundreds of thousands of our family members, friends, neighbors and patients.

That’s why WSNA is standing with our national affiliate union, AFT Nurses and Health Professionals, in a National Day of Action on January 15. Join us at noon at Westlake Park in Seattle!

Protect Our Patients! No ACA Repeal without Replacement.

Join Washington’s Health Care Rally on January 15, with Rep. Pramila Jayapal, 12 noon, Westlake Park, Downtown Seattle. View and download the flyer here. Send a strong message to Congress that repealing the ACA without a viable replacement is gambling with Washington’s health.

If you are attending the Seattle rally or another event around the state, please print these signs to take with you:

Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, only 5.8% of people in Washington lack health insurance – down from 14% in 2013.

  • 600,000 of our patients have signed up for free coverage under Medicaid/Apple Health
  • 115,000 of our patients have received financial support through tax credits to buy affordable insurance on Washington’s health benefit exchange, WAHealthPlanFinder.org
  • 20,000+ of our patients have received cancer treatment since January 2014 under Medicaid/Apple Health

Nurses, now is the time to stand up for our patients and protect the gains we have made. #KeepUsCovered
