When the Senate Republicans failed to garner the votes to pass the Better Care Reconciliation Act, both leadership and the White House suggested that Congress might simply vote to repeal the ACA. Three Senate Republicans responded last night saying they would not vote for a straight repeal – meaning this effort is dead, along with the BCRA.
Today, President Trump met with Senate Republicans, telling them to keep working toward a replacement bill – and asking for a delayed August recess until there is a deal.
