SEATTLE — Nurses at Seattle Children’s Hospital are demanding immediate help from management because of what they are calling a crisis in pediatric mental health.
The nurses' union told KOMO News the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine Unit “seems like a combat zone,” as it remains understaffed and struggles to help violent kids in the hospital. Nurses are demanding the hospital address it with more staff and boosted safety protocols.
