Time to negotiate a new contract - we need your input!

The current contract between WSNA and Whidbey expires on June 30, 2021. Some of you attended a recent meeting regarding the potential to hold off on negotiations for a period of time due to the strains of COVID however, it is apparent that we now need to head to the bargaining table as management would not agree to a reasonable wage increase that would be necessary with an extension. The hospital is currently experiencing financial difficulties however, they are falling further and further behind the area market. You deserve a fair contract with an adequate cost of living increase and competitive wages that attract and retain a great nursing staff.

This survey is our first step in our preparation for contract negotiations. Your input is critical to determining our priorities as we head to the bargaining table. The power of representation comes from the willingness of registered nurses to unite; our strength is in unity! Remember in order for WSNA to be an effective, strong, influential voice for you at the negotiation table, we need your membership and involvement.

It is vital to keep communication lines open during the bargaining process, so any RN who completes the survey and enters valid contact information will be entered to win the prize drawing, including $50 Visa gift cards and $20 gift cards to Whidbey Coffee. Winners will be individually notified via the cell phone or email that you give us. We will conduct the drawing after the survey closes on March 21, 2021.
