Good news about your compensation for 2022!
Posted Dec 14, 2021
As you know, during negotiations in 2020, your WSNA Negotiating Team bargained contract language that should any other group of employees receive a wage increase, the nurses would as well. The county announced last week that because another group had received wage increases, the nurses would, too. WSNA RNs will receive a holiday in recognition of Juneteenth. Juneteenth was recognized as a federal holiday on June 17, 2021, when President Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law to commemorate the emancipation of African-American slaves.
Details from the Memorandum of Understanding:
- Section 11.1 Salary schedules will be modified as follows:
- Effective the first full pay period in January 2022, each step in all ranges of the 2021 hourly matrix shall be increased by 3%.
- Section 15.02 Holiday Schedule will be modified to add the Juneteenth holiday.
- Effective the first full pay period in April 2022, each active employee on payroll will receive a one-time lump sum payment in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000).
Thanks to your former WSNA Team, Erin Schuldt and Julie Rose, who fought for you!
