Bargaining update

Your team of WSNA registered nurses met with UWMC Montlake management and administration for our 7th bargaining session on Thursday, June 10.

After WSNA presented a strong economic counter, we are starting to make progress towards improving wages.

While the employer did agree to remove a few takeaways, there are still some significant takeaways in play.

Your WSNA bargaining team remains in opposition to mandatory floating between UWMC Montlake and NW and offered a counter that focuses on voluntary floating with premium attached.

We have not yet entered into discussions regarding the multi-campus floating the employer proposed between UWMC Montlake, NW and Harborview.

WSNA will oppose any attempt to make ANY floating mandatory.

WSNA and the employer have met to discuss and we are in full support of the New Employee Referral Program that the employer is going to offer to RNs at UWMC.

Our next scheduled date for bargaining is set for Monday, June 14.

We will continue to fight for a fair and just contract that recognizes the essential care that RNs provide each and every day at UWMC.
