Hello WSNA Nurses,


We hear you loud and clear that the current staffing conditions are unsustainable and need immediate attention. Please see the link below to a letter to your CNO articulating your concerns and some ideas for how to combat the shortages we are seeing. Please keep filling out your Staffing Concern/ADO forms which document staffing concerns, staffing outside of matrices, missed rest and meal breaks. WSNA officers review these forms and take the concerns to management at Conference Committee and at the Staffing Committee ADO Subcommittee. Find the forms at wsna.org/ADO.

WSNA has been addressing these issues with SJMC management for years and will continue to do so. However, if you would like to take further action, please consider filing a complaint with our State regulatory agencies as listed below:

To file a complaint with the Department of Health (DOH) related to staffing/safety:

When you file a complaint include as much detail as possible to prove a violation of the law did happen. If you would like assistance, please contact WSNA. These agencies are required to review all complaints to determine if there was a violation of the law. Filing a complaint is protected activity, which means retaliation for filing a complaint is unlawful.
