Tentative Agreement reached!
Posted May 29, 2024
Ratification on June 6, in Conference Room 3 and 4 at 0600-0900, 1300-1500 and 1700-2000. Your bargaining team recommends a “YES” vote!
After 18 bargaining session, we have reached a historic tentative agreement with PeaceHealth Southwest management. We’ve agreed to terms that include the largest first year and second year wage increases ever seen by the nurses at this hospital. While we wish we could have garnered even more, we want to recognize that the turn-out at the picket and our solidarity in the workplace empowered us to aim high, act boldly, and win unprecedented raises. We were able to make the wage scale more equitable for nurses at the lower end of the scale while ensuring that senior nurses retained their EIB and receive increases never seen before at Southwest.
While this tentative agreement doesn’t capture everything we wanted to accomplish, we have advanced equitable wages for union nurses in Washington state in a way we truly hope helps to keep nurses at PeaceHealth Southwest and attracts more nurses to come work!
