We’re still bargaining at 4 p.m. on the day before management gets to take a long weekend, and we’ll be back at the table on Tuesday, May 28 – which is our last day of bargaining before the contract expires on May 31! We wanted to send out a brief update.

Management is giving us its wage proposal next Tuesday

Come be an observer on Tuesday when Skagit will give us their second wage proposal. While we’re not encouraging gambling (especially on these wages, amirite?), we are soliciting thoughts on what management’s next wage proposal would be – 12.001%? Three chickens and a zebra prorated by FTE? Weigh in on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM  with your best guesses.

Contact WSNA Organizer Crystal Doll at cdoll@wsna.org and 206/334.8388 for details on how, when, where, and *why* you should come observe!

We showed up at the Hospital Board of Commissioners!

WSNA nurses showed up in force and shared our concerns this morning with the Board of Commissioners. Dee Ann Wolfe passionately spoke about what Skagit nurses need in order to care for our patients and our community – check her out on INSTAGRAM.

What happens if we don’t settle our Contract Tuesday???

  • The Contract expires next Friday. What happens if we don’t have a deal at the end of Tuesday? We’ll go into details on next Thursday’s Sip & Chat, along with our next actions and a detailed breakdown of what management has and hasn’t agreed to by that time.
  • Hundreds of nurses have signed the petition – have you??? Email or call WSNA Organizer Crystal Doll at cdoll@wsna.org and 206/334.8388 to get a copy - *your signature counts*
  • Stay tuned for more information and next steps!

Become a member – management judges our strength by how many of us are members of the Union.
