PRIVACY BREACH ALERT: Do not be fooled!
Posted Mar 6, 2025
We bring to the nurses’ attention an alarming breach of the contract and law in a recent attack by parties that are continually working hard to weaken the union rights and strength which we own through collective bargaining as WSNA members. If you have received a letter from any party using your personal home phone, email or mailing address that invites you to forego your union membership, tear it up, throw it away. It is a swindle and a trap that is NOT designed to help the nurses in any way. And certainly, if any person comes to your home, shut and lock the door and take the next steps below. It is trickery of the highest level to weaken our unified power as WSNA members. Your officers have begun negotiations for the 2026-2027 contract and the timing of these attacks by union-busters is clearly strategic (and nefarious) when our unity is most important.
What else can you do to protect yourself and your union strength at the County?
Notify one of your local unit officers, site reps or WSNA Nurse Representative Tara Barnes right away if you receive any such outreach via your personal contact information tbarnes@wsna.org and cc the County Public Health HR labor relations liaison, David Clayborn at david.clayborn@kingcounty.gov.
Unsubscribe from emails from such parties, block their phone number if you receive a phone call or text. This is not the first time and won’t be the last that these wolves in sheep’s clothing attempt to bait nurses into giving up their union strength….and that is their goal, despite their hollow talking points.
