News you can use: Implementation of your new union contract and your union strength

Since the effective date of your union contract on July 30, 2023, the payroll department has begun implementation.  Please refer to the MOU regarding implementation in the documents section of the webpage which describes what is retroactive and what is paid going forward from July 30. Full implementation may take several pay cycles.

In short, we know that the new wages are effective now and should be reflected in your next pay stub.  The general wage increase of 4% is retroactive to January 1, 2023, but it is not confirmed to be seen on the next paycheck.  The same is true for the ratification bonus for those eligible to receive it. (The nurses who received the RN/PHN wage parity increase and the Psychiatric ARNP’s who received a wage classification increase are not eligible for the ratification bonus.)

We can definitively say that all the economic items are currently being processed in the payroll department. We cannot provide hard dates for the actual paychecks that the nurses will receive it.  We have asked several times and will continue to stay in communication with the employer and share new information with you as we receive it. Finally, the employer is required to adhere to all terms of the collective bargaining agreement, including economic.
