It is time to elect your new WSNA local unit officers!
Posted Sep 26, 2024
WSNA members have been nominated for local unit officer positions by their peers. In addition to serving on the negotiations team, your officers and WSNA staff interact with the County and the membership in the following ways:
- Executive Conference Committee quarterly for issues relating to the contract and working conditions across JHS, DAJD, Prevention, CHS and Admin divisions.
- Labor management committee meetings monthly or quarterly in various divisions and the JLMIC for health benefits.
- Carry out the goals of the local unit across all departments including union training, membership engagement/promotion, and social gatherings!
- Ensure that nurse’s concerns and suggestions are communicated and addressed in coordination with site reps and WSNA staff.
Only WSNA members in good standing are eligible to vote. You will receive a ballot by mail at the address we have for you. If you have moved in the last 12 months or are concerned we may not have your correct address, please update your mailing address and any other contact information here.
One more thing! It was great to meet nurses at site visits and virtual meetings during the past few months. Those will resume in October. Stay tuned for virtual and in-person Union Power Hour options to understand more about how we enforce the wins in our 2025 contract.
Your WSNA team has signed the contract, and it is on its way to the KC Council. We will update you when the contract is posted to the website upon completion of the transmittal process.
