New officer appointments and committee nominations needed!
Posted Nov 9, 2021
Recently, your WSNA Officer team has seen some shifting in the various roles and responsibilities. Your recent WSNA Co-Chairs, KT Raley-Jones (RN, CICU) and Callie Allen (RN, NICU) have chosen to step down from this leadership role. We want to thank them for their dedicated hard work and commitment to the nurses of Sacred Heart over the past several years. Their contributions have brought about great changes and improvements to the WSNA team, as well as the nurses they served. Thank you KT and Callie for your sacrifice and your service.
According to your Local Unit Rules, which is a separate document from your WSNA contract, in the event of a midterm vacancy the remaining Officers should appoint to fill the open vacant positions. On Nov. 4, your Executive Team of officers met to discuss the recent openings. A quorum was present and by a vote of the officers the following nurses have been voted into the following Officer positions:
Clint Wallace (RN, ICU) and Alyssa Boldt (RN, 9N) will be your new WSNA Co-Chairs. Rian Williams (RN, NICU) will be the new WSNA Treasurer.
There are still two officer vacancies open to be filled! At this time, we are asking all nurses who would like to make a difference and be involved in executive decision-making, now and during upcoming contract negotiations, to nominate themselves for the WSNA Officer Team. Current openings are WSNA Member-at-Large and WSNA Secretary.
Currently, there are two open seats as WSNA SHMC Delegates to the Spokane Labor Council. More information on this role is located within the survey.
To find out more information on these leadership positions, and to self-nominate, use the link below. The form is also posted to this web site, and can be downloaded and emailed to one of the existing officers if you have issues with the survey. However, the survey link below is preferred. If you know of any nurses you feel would be perfect for either role, don’t hesitate to approach that individual and encourage them to apply.
Electronic nomination form will be open and available until 8 a.m. on Nov. 19.
