Bargaining Day 6

Today your bargaining team met with hospital administration for our sixth day at the bargaining table. Both sides made some movement on wages. We shared your priorities and let management know that keeping “work on day off” premium is extremely important to you. We reached a few tentative agreements including preserving bereavement leave access when a “significant person” in your life passes away, clarifying when a nurse will get paid for missing a meal period and agreeing that a nurse that leaves for another PeaceHealth facility may comeback without a loss in seniority. We also had a great discussion about mandatory overtime and how it overlaps with mandatory call and call back.

Did you know that the law restricts when mandatory OT may be used including mandatory call back that triggers OT?
