Your WSNA local unit officers have been elected!
Posted Oct 29, 2024
It is a delight to report that your WSNA local unit officers have been elected for the 2024-2027 term! Thanks to all the nurses who nominated their peers and the members who voted. Your officers will soon participate in training for their specific positions to support the local unit goals of WSNA Overlake RN’s. Individual introductions will follow this update:
Please welcome and congratulate these nurses on their election:
Chris Birchem, OSS, Co-chair
Heidi Scharnitzke, Labor and Delivery, Secretary
Crissy Sekine, Interventional Medical Imaging, Treasurer
Stacey Alvarez, Emergency Department, Grievance Officer
Brandon Yokoyama, ED and Crissy Sekine IMI, Membership Officer Team
Additional appointments may occur for the second co-chair position and additional grievance officer and membership officer team members. Contact your Nurse Representative to learn more about these opportunities to unify and strengthen the local unit as union nurses!
You can anticipate WSNA Union 101 trainings to begin in November. There can never be enough unit reps and activists in every department. Overlake RNs ARE WSNA! Contact WSNA Organizer or Nurse Representative to learn more.
The local unit is only as strong as engaged Overlake RNs who are WSNA members. All nurses are encouraged to know where to access your current contract on this, your local unit webpage.
All nurses are encouraged to be WSNA members if they are not, already. Go here to join with the UNION option
In solidarity,
