Negotiations continue
Posted Oct 26, 2022
On Tuesday, 10/25/2022 your WSNA bargaining team met with KVH administration and engaged in robust conversations regarding the comprehensive proposal your bargaining team presented to administration as well as a full economic proposal we submitted this week.
We had productive conversations with management about how changes to existing language on floating, premium pay, and continuing education can lead to better retention and recruitment. We also reached a number of agreements with management and found common ground on other proposals and policy goals, which leaves us optimistic about the direction we’re headed in this negotiation and hopeful about things to come at KVH.
We are also grateful to those of you that took a few moments to complete the just-in-time survey which focused on floating and compensation. However, we need more information to inform our conversations about one of the issues that you have signaled is most important to you.
Keep an eye on your text messages for another just-in-time survey; we will be asking once again for your help and input about your years of RN experience as we prepare to echo your voices by addressing a long-standing nurse dissatisfier. Please complete that survey by EOD Thursday so our union reps can crunch the numbers and set us up for success as we present our economic counterproposal at bargaining on Monday, 10/31/22.
