Strike Vote set at Good Samaritan Hospital

Tonight, the WSNA Labor Executive Council has authorized a Strike Vote at Good Samaritan Hospital. The Strike Vote will occur over two days – all day on Tuesday, June 20, and all day on June 21, in the Facilities Conference Room. You must be a member in good standing to vote in the strike authorization vote; WSNA membership will be available at both days of the vote to help process any membership applications. More details will follow in the coming days.

Strike assessors talked to over 600 nurses at Good Samaritan to make this authorization happen: we could not have done this without their hard work! Thank you to everyone who talked to a coworker, came in to do assessments on their days off, filled out a membership application, updated bulletin boards, and helped make our bargaining unit a strong and united front.

A huge shoutout to the following assessors, who each had the assessment conversation with at least 20 of their coworkers:
Adrienne Berg
Diana Returne
Katie Stringer
May Smith
Nancy Yim
Nicole Murray
Peggy Sloane
Sarah Raines
Shian Kelly

Sip and Chat this week:

We will have two sip and chats this week to talk more about the authorization vote and what that will look like: Thursday at 8:00pm, and Friday at 8:00am.
