Congratulations, WSNA nurses, we have a contract!

  • Evergreen vote

We are excited to announce that we had a record turnout for the vote, and our membership overwhelmingly voted YES to ratify your new contract!

The contract took 16 sessions, starting back on September 12. To all of you who showed up to bargaining, attended meetings, spoke with co-workers, came to the board meetings, and pitched in any way you could, we THANK YOU!

What's next?

  • Contract: Once the contract is finalized and signed, we will have it up on the website for everyone to access.
  • Raises: The first pay raise of $1 plus 4 percent is effective January 1, 2025. All hours you have worked since then, and moving forward, will be at that rate through June 30. On July 1, everyone will have an additional $1 per hour. November 1, you will then receive a further increase of 5 percent!
  • Retroactive pay: The employer is working to calculate retroactive calculations back to January 1. We are working with the employer to determine what pay period this will occur. There are a lot of nurses to calculate, and understandably, it will take some time to sort out. We will update you as soon as possible on this.
  • Longevity steps: We will also have more information to help guide you about eliminating ghost steps and changing the year-for-year credit toward longevity steps.
  • Stay engaged: Bargaining was only one small part of WSNA. We want to keep the momentum and unity of the nurses throughout the contract with future meetings and events, with many opportunities to work together!

In Solidarity,
Your WSNA Bargaining Team
