Retention bonus update
Posted Nov 18, 2021
Nov. 17, we met with management. We had sent them a counter to their proposal, and we were hopeful management would have a counter for us at the meeting. They didn’t but they did have a lot of questions and have agreed to give us a counter.
They asked for documents regarding other hospitals retention bonuses and we provided that information.
Again, they brought up that they were trying to have equality for all Confluence Health. We only represent the RNs. Our goal is to get a commitment to our nurses who have remained and CWH throughout the last 22 months. You all deserve the very best. We are negotiating on YOUR behalf. We appreciate the non-nursing staff at CWH, but WSNA doesn’t represent them.
Nurses Unite for Safe Staffing: On Tuesday, Nov. 30 from 8-10 a.m., we encourage you to register for Nurses Unite For Safe Staffing – a chance to plan how we want to achieve safe staffing in the Legislature this winter!
We know the staffing crisis is your #1 issue, which makes it ours too. That’s why WSNA, along with the union coalition of SEIU 1199NW and UFCW 21 have launched a multifaceted campaign to improve your workplace conditions. We will be asking the lawmakers for major changes to the staffing laws during the next session.
As a leader in WSNA, you will have a chance to share your input on what is needed and be a part of the planning process.
