Happy Summer, AMR Registered Nurses!

So much is happening in the world of healthcare….

As we come to what feels like a potential end to the COVID pandemic, everyone is formulating what is to be a new norm for all of us.

AMR has experienced some changes in local leadership and WSNA is working with this new team to establish a collaborative relationship that aims at serving the registered nurses at AMR and the patients you serve every day.

New WSNA officers wanted!

You may have heard that WSNA officers Chris Marshall and Heidi Odupitan have elected to seek other vocational opportunities. WSNA is grateful for their time and commitment as Local Unit Co-Chairpersons and they will be missed as devout advocates for their patients and colleagues.

In light of their departure, WSNA is looking for several new RNs to volunteer to be the WSNA officers for bargaining group at AMR.

If you would like to be able to advocate for your working conditions along with your colleagues, please contact WSNA Nurse Representative Ed Zercher at ezercher@wsna.org today!

New AMR Field Operations Manual coming

AMR leadership has issued a proposed, newly improved, Field Operations Manual.  This is intended to standardize procedures across the varied geographical locations and unify process between all transport vehicles.

If you are interested in having input into this field operations manual to ensure expectations are reasonable and attainable, please contact WNSA Nurse Representative Ed Zercher at ezercher@wsna.org.  Have your voice heard before it is too late!

Washington State Nurses Convention brings together hundreds of RNs from around Washington

With top tier speakers and interactive break-out sessions, RNs from around Washington spent three days in Tacoma taking relevant health care information and sharing successes and challenges.

With over 15 continuing education hours made available, RNs spent several days learning about the rapidly changing face of health care and used the opportunity to network with RNs from throughout Washington. The venue of the Tacoma Marriott coupled with some amazing food and guest speakers made the event a huge success.
