Attention PHSW Nurses,

As many nurses are aware WSNA filed an association grievance on behalf of all nurses following communication that CES 3 discussions had been canceled amidst a staffing crisis. We filed a grievance to hold administration responsible for decision making that has failed to honor the staffing language in our collective bargaining agreement, as well as the staffing plan submitted to the state. We’ve advanced to step 3 of the grievance process and have arranged a Microsoft Teams meeting with Holley Tyler, our Chief Nursing Officer, Thursday, February 16 from 1600-1700.

Please plan to join the meeting to stand in unity to fight for the work environment we nurses and our patients deserve. We hope to have time to have short presentations by the nurses with their experiences, but time is limited in this process. Therefore, please submit your stories of staffing challenges and examples of your concerns in advance to your nurse representative, Mara Kieval at mkieval@wsna.org.
