Bargaining update – Day 6 – Join us at tonight’s Sip and Chat!

On February 12, 2024, we met with PeaceHealth for another day of negotiations for our next contract. Unfortunately, management again failed to present an economic counterproposal and let us know the soonest they’ll have one is at our seventh session on February 21. We used the rest of our time to make a comprehensive workplace violence proposal that addresses the issues we’re hearing from every unit in the hospital, including our Home Hospice RNs who enter patient homes every day on the job.

We’re working hard to show management in each proposal that all nurses across the bargaining unit share the same goals. There’s strength in numbers, and we need your help to show management just how strong we are.

Here’s how you can pitch in:

  1. Sign the petition! Our petition asks management to commit to staffing levels that keep nurses and their patients safe. We need as much of our bargaining unit to sign the petition as possible so management sees we’re all in this together. If you haven’t signed a petition yet check in with a bargaining team member to sign it this week! If you’ve already signed, we want your help presenting the petition to management. WSNA is requesting that EVERY NURSE wear a “I Support My Bargaining Team" sticker on negotiation days. Please contact a member of the bargaining team or WSNA Organizer Sam Scholl for a sticker.
