Seattle Public Schools hiring nurses

This from Seattle Public Schools Health Services Program:

Seattle Public Schools Health Services program is growing! For the second year in a row, we are adding additional Certificated School Nurse FTEs to support students who are OSPI Level B – Medically Fragile (Type I Diabetes, severe seizure disorders, etc). This year we have several nurses retiring and are hiring for approximately 12.0 FTE certificated school nurse positions.

Upon acceptance of an offer of employment, SPS offers a $500 hiring bonus, a stipend for National School Nurse Certification, salary on the Certificated teachers’ scale and generous benefits. In addition, we have a strong practice with over 600 years of combined SPS school nurse experience, orientation, assigned mentor, and 1.0 Clinical Coordinator support for practice. SPS nurses benefit from strong nursing governance, evaluation by a school nurse manager under a nurse developed evaluation rubric, and a float system to cover medically fragile buildings. Our caseloads average less than 1000 students/certificated nurse along with paid time for beginning of the year planning.

We are conducting interviews now to start in late August. Apply here: Select Apply in the top right corner.

Come join our growing team!
